The Internet will appear on the top of Mount Kilimanjaro
According to the Tanzanian authorities, the Internet will appear on the top of Mount Kilimanjaro this fall.
Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa. It is expected that by October the Internet will be available at Uhuru Peak with a height of 5,895 meters.
The state-owned company Tanzania Telecommunications Limited (TCL) has already launched high-speed Internet on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, but so far only at an altitude of 3,720 meters.
Previously, when climbing Kilimanjaro, any mobile communication stopped working at an altitude of about 1,860 meters.
