The Louvre has suspended work due to a strike by employees
The famous Louvre Museum in Paris (France) has suspended work today due to a staff strike.
Louvre workers have joined a strike against the new pension reform. Several trade unions of cultural workers take part in it.
So, on Monday morning, several dozen people blocked the entrance to the museum. They held up posters that read: "Museums oppose pension reform," "Work less to live longer."
The administration of the Louvre on Twitter confirmed that the museum was closed "due to an interprofessional strike" and thanked visitors for their understanding.
