The restoration of Notre Dame Cathedral will be completed in 2024

The restoration of the famous Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, which was damaged by fire, may be completed in 2024. The roof and spire are to be restored for the Summer Olympic Games in the French capital. This was told by Philippe Jost, the head of the organization that carries out the renovation of Notre Dame de Paris.

According to him, the 100-meter spire of the cathedral will be visible at the end of this year, it will be gradually freed from scaffolding as the roof appears. After that, only a few months will remain until the complete completion of the work. The reconstruction is expected to be completed on December 8, 2024.

In April 2019, a strong fire occurred in the cathedral, which is one of the symbols of Paris. French President Emmanuel Macron has promised that the restoration will take five years.
