The traditional carnival has begun in Venice

The famous annual carnival started in Venice on January 28. For the first time in several years, it passes without COVID restrictions. This year it is dedicated to the 700th anniversary of the death of the Venetian merchant and navigator Marco Polo.

The carnival will last until February 13. Within its framework, numerous parades, balls and theatrical performances will be held in Venice. The program will even include the celebration of the Chinese New Year, which will be dedicated to separate events and processions on February 2-13.

Carnival programs cover all the squares of Venice, including St. Mark's Square, as well as the islands and the mainland of Mestre.
