The Tulip Festival has started in Istanbul

Last weekend, the famous Tulip Festival (Istanbul Lale Festivali) started in Istanbul (Turkey). It will last until the end of April.

The festival represents the period of flowering of tulips in the city and events dedicated to this event. Flowers can be admired both in the parks and squares participating in the festival, and just walking along the streets and squares.

The best places to contemplate tulips are Emirgan Parks, located in the Saryer district, and Gulhane, the oldest park in the city, located near the walls of the Topkapi Palace. Other places include Geztepe Park in the Asian part of Istanbul and Yildiz Historical Park in Besiktas district.
