Tourists in Uzbekistan will receive free SIM cards

In Uzbekistan, tourists will be given free SIM cards for long-term use.

From January 1, 2025, new measures for the development of tourism and the "effective use of the country's tourism potential" will come into force in Uzbekistan. One of the points of the already adopted resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers contains an instruction from the Ministry of Finance to provide arriving guests with free SIM cards with an active validity period of one month at airports, railway stations and border crossings.

In addition, from the same date, new types of tourism will appear in Uzbekistan — industrial, geological, scientific, military and state-administrative.
