Tourists will be able to get to the North Pole by flight via Taimyr

Tourist flights to the North Pole via Taimyr in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory are planned to begin in 2023. This was stated by the head of the Taimyr municipal district Yevgeny Vershinin.

According to him, "Aerogeo Airline flew for exploration," flights will begin this year.

It is expected that the route to the North Pole will run through the village of Khatanga, where the Zapolyarye hotel is almost ready, a new terminal building has been built, an airport fire box and a box for auxiliary equipment, this year it is planned to repair the runway.

At the moment, tourists get to the North Pole through the island archipelago of Svalbard (Norwegian province of Svalbard), from where they fly by AN-74 aircraft to the Barneo ice base and then by Mi-8 helicopter to the North Pole.
