Tropical storm Ma-on hits China

Tropical storm Ma-on has hit the south of the Chinese province of Guangdong. Hong Kong is also experiencing heavy rains with hurricane-force winds.

According to local meteorologists, the storm is moving at a speed of 25 km/h in the northwest direction, the wind speed in it is 118 km/ h.

In the city of Maoming (Guangdong Province), the authorities forbade residents to approach the shore.

In Hong Kong, one person was injured as a result of bad weather, the work of schools, a number of medical and government institutions was suspended. Due to the storm, the movement of trains was interrupted.
