Turkey to launch high-speed trains from Ankara to Istanbul

The Turkish authorities are preparing a project for the construction of a high-speed train line, thanks to which the route between Ankara and Istanbul will be reduced from five hours to 80 minutes.

The capacity of the line will be 240,000 passengers per day. The speed of trains will reach 350 km / h, and the ticket price will be cheaper than on a plane.

The Turkish Ministry of Transport has launched a feasibility study of the line, which "will transfer the country to another transport league."

The route, the method of construction and the time of laying the foundation have not yet been announced.
