Venice will introduce an entrance fee to the city from April 25
As an experiment, the authorities of Venice, Italy are introducing a fee for entry into the city for day tourists from April 25, 2024.
The entrance fee to the historic city center will be 5 euros.
The experiment will last until July 14th. Money from tourists will be collected on weekends and holidays and only at certain hours: from 8:30 to 16:00.
